51,900 refugees received bank cards and money

As of May 23 inclusive, 51,900 Ukrainian refugees received prepaid cards and money, respectively. The second tranche of financial assistance was received by 17.7 thousand refugees.

According to the Program of the International Organization for Migration, every registered refugee receives a prepaid card for 2,200 lei every month, reports noi.md

"As of May 23, inclusive, 51,900 refugees received prepaid cards and received money, plus 17,700 refugees received the second tranche of financial assistance. To date, the refugees have received a total of more than $ 7 million - money that has been spent in Moldova and that contributes to the support of the local economy," the organization reports.

According to a press release published so far, the UN Refugee Agency and the International Organization for Migration have contributed to the displacement of more than 1,425 people from Moldova to countries such as Austria, France, Germany, Latvia and Lithuania.
